These pieces were a result of a visit to the Fragonard Perfume Museum in Grasse, France. In the display of historical object were several silver, brass and gold pomanders. Small and ornate with elaborate perforations, they held herbs used to scent linens or to be worn around the neck. My version has the perforated element inside the container, creating scented air in each container.
